It would appear that every fall in Hong Kong I can be found wearing shorts. (Here’s how I styled these shorts last fall, 2017.) As I wrote last Wednesday, sometimes I wear shorts to work–like this outfit for example. I wore this exact ensemble to work yesterday. Wearing shorts in the fall helps me feel like I’m dressing in autumnal ways while keeping in check with the still hotter temps of Hong Kong. With ultra-suede, army green shorts, I’ve definitely got the texture and color down. Plus, pairing the shorts with an oversized sweater–in leopard no less, is keeping with the trends. The sweater is light so I’m ok outside, but also cozy, so I’m also comfortable in the frigid air conditioning indoors. It’s a crazy juxtaposition. Basically, there are many variables that go into getting dressed in the fall in Hong Kong!
I’ve been looking around the blogosphere to see if any of my peers have also worn shorts to their workplace. I found my gorgeous friend Samantha wrote and styled an expert outfit for work accompanied with makeup tips to boot. Read the full post over at Fake Fabulous and in the meantime ogle over her gams from this pic I took from her blog:
Make sure to follow Samantha–there’s nothing fake about her, only fabulous!!
Wearing Shorts in Fall
Will you be joining me? Or it’s already too cold where you are… if so, will you add tights underneath so you can wear shorts?
