It’s pretty obvious with one visit to any high street store that leopard (and snake for that matter) are having a serious moment. Yet, wearing leopard can be intimidating for those who do not consider this bold animal print to be a neutral. For me I own this print in abundance, yet I’m trying to imagine what this print would be like if I wasn’t so keen to embrace it. Hence, I’m wearing leopard this month on Wednesdays in a more simple way. This week I’ve styled a rather understated leopard tee.
There are a gazillion leopard tees out there right now. To keep this print on the tamer side, search for muted colors and a tighter print. For example, my tee could almost come across as polka dots instead of leopard print.
Another real basic way to wear leopard is with black. It always matches. I don’t know what I’m going to do about these pants. They are my absolute favorite, yet near the crotch they seem to be shedding this weird elastic material. I have two options: check Target to see if by chance they still carry these Who What Wear black, cropped trousers OR lose a few pounds to fit in the size smaller I purchased just in case… After an extensive search it would appear that I just need to lose a few lbs!
Taking these pictures was rather funny: it was me and Remota again. I’ve loved this wall for some time now, and this outfit seemed like the perfect match. This fun graffiti wall is in the Midlevels of Hong Kong, and the road is actually quite busy. So every other shot, I had to grab the tripod and move it out of the way. I eventually was able to get the standard 5 shots I needed for this blog post though. Funny, huh?
Next week I have my leopard planned out. It’s not bold by any means–at least to me–but it is a different approach.
