What a blast! Vogue Fashion Night Out was AMAZING! I found out about it at the last minute, but with some supportive nudging from the super HK fashion blogger, Jasmine Smith, I ventured out on my own. And I’m so glad I did!
I think I started reading Vogue in about 7th grade. Sure I had the typical daydreams of actually working for Vogue and becoming a fashion designer. Somewhere along the way, the practicalities of small town girl sunk in, and I never thought any more about it. But now, as I’m actually getting old, I’m reigniting those old daydreams. Friday night was everything I hoped a Fashion Night Out would be. Of course there were stylish people everywhere: funky, beautiful, normal, or plain out glamorous! After being a fly on the wall, my confidences peeked out, I grabbed my camera, and met some really interesting people. I can’t wait till the next one, and I’m so in love with Hong Kong from making some of my little girl dreams come true!
Wow! What a thrill! I know you fit right in! Congrats on bring “known” amongst your fashion peers;)
Thank you Julie! It was so fun! Seeing the Italian sisters together made me really, really miss you my Fashion Idol! I always have and I always will love your style. Mwaa! Annie
Annie…What an Amazing Night! You have captured the essence of a great night out in Hong Kong fashion world! Love it ! Jane
PS And the people already in the know are following Kremb de la Kremb! I love Nick Chan!
This Vogue Night blog post puts the blog reader right in the action. For a shy fashionista, your sharing is a perfect way to enjoy and admire all the beautiful and artistic people in Hong Kong. I love how you captured the energy of the evening with your photos and descriptions. I hope you will share a photo of yourself that night. I am sure you looked fabulously stylish. Thanks for letting me vicariously be part of the HK fashion scene. The Italian sisters and Nick Chan really stood out! And, of course, the Cheng twins had the best smiles ever.
Oh Maureen, I’m glad you get such pleasure from these posts. That makes my day. No outfit post from my own Vogue FNO–I was pretty blah in comparison with a simple black and white ensemble. Although, I didn’t feel sassy sporting black peep toe booties and black leather shorts! Love, Annie
