I have crushes all over Instagram. One of them is Carmen Gimeno. (I’ve talked about her twice before, here and here.) Carmen most definitely works for Zara or maybe even the head company, Inditex. She’s always dressed in head to toe Zara and offers me tons of style inspiration. Hence the hashtag she always uses; it’s #TLZ or spelled out, “Total look Zara.”
In these pics I am most definitely in “total look Zara.” From head to toe, literally, I’m wearing Zara. Even my lipstick is Zara. The big shell around my neck is Zara. The dress and two crossbody bags are Zara. Finally, the new, slouchy, black cowboy boots are also Zara.
Granted this entire total look Zara is very, very wintery. There’s not much spring-y about this outfit. Rather this outfit could be worn around Christmas and definitely during fall. But, there was something about this dress and boots. When I tried them on, I felt sensational. And there was a need for me to feel great…
After my third hip operation, I laid low for the entire week. I left the house five days later but only to get my hair cut less than a block away. It was on that following Saturday morning, a week later, that I officially left the house with Gigi. We went to a mall but only in and out of Zara. That was enough, and I did well in under an hour!
With a week at home and the Zara app at the ready, I knew exactly what I wanted. I had called ahead and the dress was already waiting for me. I gave them the number of the boots, and they also had them in my size. A wrap style dress really works with my figure–so does the slimming color black. Plus, I am a sucker for anything paisley, and this dress even has tassels if you look close at the skirt. In the store, I literally strutted toward the mirror. Done and done!
In fact, I like this dress so much I bought it again but the next time in white. Stay tuned for another wrap dress, another styling, and another #TLZ, total look Zara next Wednesday!
