About once a year this LBD makes the blog. When I traveled down history’s lane, I found the very first time this LBD was posted was back in 2014. I remember purchasing this dress at the Forever 21 that used to be in Causeway Bay. It seems like I’d always go for a little shop the day before the first day of school. It’s odd; I know. But shopping takes the edge off for me.
Add a Jacket
This time around while styling my five year old, trustworthy, little black dress, I’m going to show three ways to jazz up your LBD. The first way is to add a jacket: it could be an embellished jean jacket, a patterned blazer, or a colorful cardigan. The point is to add an element that adds color and texture to the dress while complimenting the black color of the dress. Here, I’ve added my over-the-top embellished jean jacket with bits of gold and lots of color.
Add Some Fancy Shoes
It’d be quite boring and very easy to simply add a pair of black shoes. But, what about pairing the LBD with some fancy shoes? Leopard looks great and definitely and will definitely jazz up your LBD. Color sneakers would also do the trick. Here I’ve added my block color, metallic cowboy boots. Win win.
Add a Statement Belt
A final, yet totally easy way, to jazz up your LBD is to add a statement belt. Maybe you have a fancy rhinestone belt or even a boho Guatemalan belt–either way using a statement belt with an LBD is part of creating your personal style. Recently I realized I was never wearing my gold belt because it was so tattered; it was time to replace it, and I found the perfect replacement at Zara. I think you will definitely be seeing more of this gold belt on Kremb de la Kremb!
Do you already jazz up your LBD with statement jackets, shoes, or belts? If so right on. If not, maybe consider one of these tips next time you wear a little black dress!
*Not to be added as a must-do, but definitely worth mentioning is makeup. Because I wanted to accent with green, I even added green eyeliner to my look!
