The Fab 40s in Lace

Lace Coverup 7
Lace was The Fab 40s theme for this month of June. We’ve covered the color of the year, the jumpsuit trend plus the gingham trend, and now lace. In this one I think we are definitely all very different. That’s what’s so fun about this collaboration with Sheela, Dixie, Dawn Lucy, and Jane. We all have such different style and interpret a theme so differently. For me I repeated a resort look from a trip this last winter to a current summer beach trip in Hong Kong. Lace makes the perfect cover up in my opinion!

  1. Love your lace cover up Ann it looks stunning over your black bikini.
Like you say we all interpret the theme so differently & I’m always so excited to see how everyone’s styled their look each month……I’ll have to get my thinking cap on for next month!
    Jane xx

    1. Thank you Jane! I felt risky but I love using this lace tunic as my cover up, so I just went for it. Until next month…can’t wait! Enjoy your summer weather. Love, Ann

    1. Thank you Dawn Lucy! All credit goes to my 11 year old daughter. She’s got a great eye, and while I can, I’m taking advantage of it!

This is such a fun collaboration!! Love, Ann

  2. I love all the different lace looks! You lace cover up is so pretty and can be worn as a pretty top. I’ve never thought to use my lace top as a beach cover up.

    1. Thank you Alice! Now I just have to figure out how to wear this tunic as a top. It never seems to work out well, but I know I’ll figure it out.

Are you enjoying your summer! I hope so. Love, Ann

    2. Thank you Alice! Using this top as a cover up happened quite by mistake actually when I brought it to Bali on a trip. Since then, it seems to be the only way I wear it. I need to figure out more ways to style it. It is a pretty top. Thanks for stopping by Alice! Love it when you do. ;D A x

  3. Ann, this look took the cake for me. I absolutely loved the way you made is so chic, sexy and simple. the lace was perfect, and your pose on the beach was the icing on the cake. Great job….xo Dixie

    1. Thank you Dixie! You got me blushing. ;D Our Fab 40s collab inspires me so! I always appreciate how classy yet sexy your looks are. You have impeccable style! A x

  4. I love that you included a picture Greetje! I’m looking forward to catching up on your blog too. I am sooooo sorry it took me so long to get to my comments. Very bad blogging etiquette indeed! Thanks for your patience, and thanks for all your fabulous comments/support! Love, Ann

      1. No, I wear it with jeans and flats. It is one of those things which actually look better with flats than heels (rare for me). It is a rather warm top believe or not. For cover-up (as in bikini) I prefer something which is easier to wash and iron…

  5. I just had to comment again. I must say, this was my fave look of the bunch. Love how you just owned it with the beach attire. The length, fabric, color, were all perfect. Really beautiful look….Can’t wait for the next challenge…xo

    1. Ahhh, thanks so much Dixie. I felt like I was kind of going out on a limb, but I just went for it. You’re encouragement means the world to me. Thank you. I’m looking forward to leopard this next month!! A x
