Last Wednesday I wrote about making sure I have a pair of black Bermuda shorts for this summer, and whadya know, they arrived today! The other summer trend I must have is some tie dye. Granted I already have a few tie dye t-shirts, so I’m all set in that department, but the one area I’m craving is a nice and cozy, totally bright, tie dye hoodie. Now that’s what I’m currently after!
The look of Blanca Miro will most definitely be copied this summer. I already have the black Bermudas. White tube socks are easy enough, but instead of loafers, I’ll be wearing tennis shoes. Now the only question for the tie dye hoodie is do I go with the Ralph Lauren one for $148 or just go for a regular ol’ tie dye hoodie from Amazon for $35? That’s a bit of a no brainer isn’t it? Of course I’m going to go for the less expensive version. I don’t need a little polo horse on my chest!! Actually the best option would be a thrifted, second hand score, but I don’t know if I can be that patient… Probably not.
The other super cool tie dye item that I’ve found while researching this summer trend is the custom made option on Vans.com. Basically, you can create whatever style of Vans you’d like. The options are virtually endless! Do I go with a complete tie dye slip on, or do I mix in some of the iconic black and white checker board? Now there’s $75 I don’t mind spending to create the exact pair of Vans tailored to me. That’s like a high end DIY!
