This is the suit I wore on the first day of school for the 2018-2019 school year. There’s nothing quite like a shorts suit, but a striped shorts suit makes it even better! Unfortunately, Target doesn’t ship internationally anymore. This is very sad for me; although I suppose no Targé save a few pennies in the bank. This was the plaid suit I was able to have shipped to me last school year. Now when I head home for the summers, I take my Target trips very seriously since they quit their international shipping service.
There are two brands that I pay very close attention to at Target: A New Day and Who What Wear. When I saw this striped shorts suit online at Target last spring, I waited patiently until I got home to receive it. (I’d already made my order to be delivered at my sister’s.) I love when I just know something will work without even needing to try it on.
I also love wearing this suit with my oversized, dad sneakers. These shoes are not new to the blog. I wore them here and here. I love that these sneakers give me the chance to add a little color to my outfit. I could have worn more red accessories, but in the end I just went with a red lippy–that seemed to be enough. Especially since I really went for it in the earring section of my outfit. I’ve talked about Beth Jones before–I love watching her videos that come out each Thursday. Well, often she puts on these seed pearl drop earrings that are so gorgeous. (I’ve offered to be her first buyer if she ever chooses to get rid of them!) I keep trying to find something close, and I think I finally got it with these rhinestone baubles from Forever 21. I always find the best costume jewelry at Forever 21. I picked out some similar sparkly gems:

I’ve been taking a lot of my own shots lately. I’ve even personified my remote control: Remota. She’s nice. She never makes me feel bad. She lets me try over and over and over until she and I get the shot just right. The strangers that pass me by always smile, encouraging me on. The only problem is sometimes Remota shows up, and she’s usually suppose to stay in the shadows. See what I mean in the next shot…
