Spring is here! And for once in Hong Kong, spring is lasting longer than a week! Usually, we’ll have one amazing spring day, and it will feel like the next day the weather skipped all the way to hot summer. But touch wood–spring is here in Hong Kong, and it has been lovely! During our morning coffee, we’re able to open the window and listen to the birds singing their wakeup song. Last night in the evening and right now in the morning as I write, our windows are open. This temperature is bliss, the birds songs are sung, and the flowers blooming are beautiful. It might sound overly fanciful, but it’s all true. I hope I don’t jinx anything because this 2018 spring has been amazing!
Let’s imagine I purposely made that little heart configuration because I love spring so much! No, really I think Gigi (my favorite photographer) caught me fingering my necklaces. But it is true: I do love spring. I bought this black floral skirt because I loved how detailed the flowers were. We have an HM right outside my window–literally! I can see the HM from my apartment, so it’s hard not to go in and find a little piece here and there. And if I ever need a white tee, well, I know where to go. My top is also from one of those HM visits. But my fringe bag is a really great score from Zara online. It’s worth taking a look at their sales! I picked this up for maybe $50HKD or $6USD! And my sandals! I pulled them out of the spring/summer storage box. Hurray! Sandal weather means it’s time to go take care my toes if you know what mean! Pedi time!!
Do you enjoy spring as much as me? It’s such a hopeful time isn’t it? There’s something that blooms in me that feels like a bit of a renewal. I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one….
