Can I quit this style? I just don’t think the midi dress is the dress for me. This is my third time trying. The first time, there was no shape; the second time, the color was off. Now on this third try, it feels like this snake midi dress just hits me at the wrong spot.
I always get an “A” for effort right? But, this week, I’ll be bringing this dress to my tailor. The length on this snake midi dress just doesn’t suit me. I’m think right above the knees will be perfect. I can try and try, but not all trends look good on everyone, and this snake midi dress is proving that.
I’m not trying to be self deprecating; rather, I’m just honest. If I feel good in something, I’ll be the first to strut. But if my clothing doesn’t work for me, it’s time to fix it or bin it. With this dress, I will definitely try to fix it because I adore the print. What a fun color take on the snake trend! Turquoise? Yes please!!
I love me some turquoise, and I gobbed it on here–even on my eyes with some turquoise mascara. Why not?! My ring is from Zoko Jewelery–you can get one too. My sneakers are also a new purchase. After my birthday in Feb, I just felt like I needed to treat myself to a new pair. I went with these neutral, beige, Adidas dad sneakers, and they are comfy winners! Maybe that’s what doesn’t work with me: the sneakers and a long hem. Hmmm…maybe that’s it!
The next time you see this midi dress, it might not be so midi! And most likely likely, I’ll like it a lot better.
Do you alter your clothes to make them suit you? Stay tuned for Friday!
