Rico has arrived to Quito! He’s here!! Goodness, the hard work and many, many hours that Kevin has put into getting Rico in Quito has been intense. Add to that stress, the many, many cancelled flights to get him from Hong Kong to Seattle. Well, let’s just say it’s all been like another job for Kevin. But now, finally we got Rico in Quito!!
The cancelled flights and then the delays for his arrival to Quito are too many to detail. Instead huge gratitude goes out to Kevin’s brother, sister, and mom and dad; three different families all looked after Rico for the month long delay it took to get him here. Thank you so much Krembs family. Rico has definitely become a KREMBS’ family dog!
On Wednesday, I posted pics from our front terrace that looks out at the Andean mountains. Today, these pictures were taken from our backyard and patio. Yes, our outdoor space in Quito equals the square footage of our previous apartment space in Hong Kong. It’s like living in a mansion! One thing was for sure in choosing this apartment: we knew Rico would love both outdoor spaces.
Finally to finish this post, I do have to mention my sweater… after two years, I can finally wear it. I was influenced by Krystal Bick–who was actually wearing this exact sweater when I met her on the night of January 1st, 2020! I also had admired it on Mary Powers all that fall of 2019. I ordered it from Kohl’s during our time home during Christmas of 2019, but it didn’t arrive in time before we had to head back to Hong Kong. We all know what happened next: the pandemic hit. We weren’t able to go home until this past summer of 2021–hence it’s almost two years later that I’m finally able to wear and enjoy this lush, cozy fisherman sweater. I have to say, it was worth the wait!
