Who cares about puff sleeves during a pandemic? I mean really! Here I am in my cute little puff sleeves, but does it even matter? I mean most of us are completely freaking out inside. At least I am. I’m bombarded by so many questions all the time. They might be different from yours, but they are there. Do you have these scary questions running through your head too? I’m guessing you do…
Here’s a sample of the questions constantly running through my mind: is my family going to be ok? Hong Kong is taking severe measures to keep its citizens safe. What about my family in the United States? I am so scared by the numbers I see from the US. Will my kids get to go back to school? They are now in their 9th week of virtual school. Will my son get to go to his graduation? His prom just got canceled. Will we get to go home for summer? This spring break we obviously are not able to travel. Your questions are valid too. They may be different than mine, but they’re there. I know they are.
So see. Do puff sleeves really matter at a time like this? I don’t know. I took these pictures about a month ago when Covid-19 seemed to be contained to just Asia. Maybe it was about this time that Seattle had its first case. I’m not sure. What I do know is the situation has seriously escalated since I took these happy-go-lucky pictures in my puffed sleeves. Who cares about puff sleeves during a pandemic? Do you? Do I carry on with Kremb de la Kremb? Huge questions like does this silliness about my love of this top seem so frivolous during a time like Covid-19.
Here’s what I do know. This much is certain. I really do like puff sleeves. They make me happy. I’ve worn this top a couple of more times since I took these pictures a month ago. This top makes me happy. I have sloping shoulders just like my godmother, and the puff sleeves give me shoulders I don’t physically have. Having shoulders also makes me happy. While puff sleeves don’t really matter during a pandemic, my happiness surely does. You know what else makes me really happy? Writing this blog, Kremb de la Kremb. So… I guess despite a pandemic I’m going to bring you outfits of cute little puff sleeves and whatever else tickles my fancy DESPITE the deluge of scary questions in my head about this major pandemic we’re all experiencing. And, I’m hoping you’re okay with that!
