Here’s my 4th and final look for all the pretending I’ve been doing during this fashion month. (You can check out the fashion weeks for New York, London, and Milan too!) For Paris Fashion Week I’ve attempted a style I’ve thought about trying for a long time now: the tube top over a white dress shirt. While this look isn’t for anyone, I never ever thought it would work for me, but, I’m actually quite pleased with the way this outfit turned out.
I should never have assumed it wouldn’t work, but I always thought my chest was too large for me to even be able to wear a tube top over a shirt. However, I kind of like it. I don’t think it looks too bad–especially paired with such a high waist bottom. It just goes to show that it never hurts to try something out.
Now… would I wear this style to work? No, probably not, but I might wear this for a date night or smart casual dinner. Granted everyone in my family thought this outfit was ridiculous, so maybe I wouldn’t wear it on a date with Kevin, but I won’t say I’ll never try this again…
When I was researching all the street style for Paris Fashion Week, I noticed a few things: lots and lots of plaid, more monochrome looks but in bolder, brighter colors, and some strapless styles–hence the tube top and bold plaid pants.
I do have to say that this month of pretending I’m going to Fashion Week in all the important cities has been so fun. It really is on my bucket list to attend a Fashion Week somewhere. I definitely will do this one day; I’m just not sure when that will be….
Now for October… I’m wondering if I should continue pretending. It’s quite fun! What would you like to see styled up?
