I don’t usually wear dresses, and if I do they’re usually above my knees. Lately however I’ve been tempted to try midi dresses. The thing with dresses is I usually think they need fancier shoes, and I’m a sneaker addict. It’s pretty much all I wear except for maybe cowboy boots. (Stay tuned for next!)Continue reading Trying Out Midi Dresses
#MaeMaeinHK
This was the most time I have spent with my niece Maeve, and I learned so many wonderful things about her. Let me expound… Maeve makes people smile. She makes them giggle. She lights up a room with her smile. She’s funny and sincere: what you see is what you get. Maeve is really smart.Continue reading #MaeMaeinHK
What I’ve Been Up To This February
There’s been a main attraction this February: Maeve has been in town! It’s always fun when someone comes to visit because we end up taking on the role of tourist with our guest, and that’s what exactly what we’ve been doing with Maeve, my niece and the kids’ cousin. This means there’s been less NetflixContinue reading What I’ve Been Up To This February
Use Your Cobbler
Look at these black cowboy boots! They are so old!! I actually bought them in Hong Kong during a layover from India to Seattle in December of 2004. Kevin’s brother lived here, so we’d stay a night to catch up. Forever I remember loving Hong Kong, and stopping over here was such a treat. IContinue reading Use Your Cobbler
Bohemian Rhapsody
Oh, Bohemian Rhapsody! I haven’t loved a movie as much as this one since La La Land. And just like La La Land, I am very disappointed that Bohemian Rhapsody didn’t win best picture at the Oscars. It doesn’t make sense to me, but I’m not in charge. Luckily, Rami Malek did win best actorContinue reading Bohemian Rhapsody
Birthday Celebration–Not Dread
Mindset truly is everything. For some reason I was truly dreading this year’s birthday celebration. But then, on Thursday, February 21st, I had a change of thought. Rather than focusing on being one year older (read dread), I decided to celebrate my life. I mean that’s what a BIRTHday is right–the day one was bornContinue reading Birthday Celebration–Not Dread
A Childhood Style Memory: Wearing a Tie
I was so impressionable as a kid. I was my mother’s guinea pig trying just about anything when it came to style. With my mom’s encouragement, I’d wear whatever she told me to. There’s evidence in my 5th grade school picture: I’m wearing a tie–with confidence I must add. My mom dressed me in aContinue reading A Childhood Style Memory: Wearing a Tie
Attempting Gucci Style
I’ve had Gucci style on my mind for a while now. I love staring at the Gucci store windows here in Hong Kong. Their Instagram feed is incredible. Every Gucci editorial has me in awe. At one of the Gucci stores here in Hong Kong, there’s a big screen that I just sit and watchContinue reading Attempting Gucci Style
If I Could Go To Target
This #selfie picture is from my Instagram account during June, 2014! The Target on the South Hill near both my mom and dad’s and sister’s house had opened. Here’s to a Target five minutes away! I love Target, a lot. This will sound really crazy, and maybe even pathetic, but Target is the one thingContinue reading If I Could Go To Target
Restyled White Shirt, A Book and an Outfit, and I Love Hong Kong: Big Wave Bay
I couldn’t decide which series to categorize this post. On the one hand lately for Wednesdays, I’ve been taking an item from the previous Wednesday post and restyling it. Two weeks ago on Wednesday I had restyled the plaid pants from three weeks ago which was a restyle of this Jaws sweatshirt. Now this postContinue reading Restyled White Shirt, A Book and an Outfit, and I Love Hong Kong: Big Wave Bay
CNY with Maeve

My sister’s daughter Maeve is here–for the entire month of February! We are so excited to have her here and show her a bit of our life in HongContinue reading CNY with Maeve
What I’ve Been Up To This January
This is a family pic from the start of the year, 2019 when we went to some beautiful rice fields in Bali. Some months are sooooo long, and January has been one of those months! It started out just superb; I mean we couldn’t have gone wrong with a new year beginning in Bali. (SeeContinue reading What I’ve Been Up To This January
