I have been very lucky in my lifetime so far to have visited many, many beaches. From Thailand to California, from India to Spirit Lake, my life has been filled with my favorite geological landform. Amongst all these beaches, my favorite beach in the world is by far Phra Nang Beach in Krabi, Thailand.
We have have been lucky enough to visit Phra Nang Beach countless times. We’ve been when the kids were both toddlers and teenagers and the years in between. We’ve walked, kayaked, or long-tailed it to this beach. The kids have had the chance to rock climb at this beach’s cliffs while I have had plenty of beach massages is the shade. We’ve even visited my favorite beach with my sister and her family.
The reasons why this beach are plentiful: first off the scenery is beyond gorgeous. With craggy cliffs everywhere, soft white sand, turquoise blue waters, and a lush tropical jungle as the backdrop, Phra Nang beach is quite beautiful. But that’s not it. Walks from all over visit this beach, so the people watching is tremendously interesting. Finally, with food boats lining the shore, the food is delicious! And of course, the Thai people are so friendly.
Usually we choose one boat and frequent them the entire time. This nice young lady manned our boat of choice this time around. Look at how beautiful her vibrant smile is. She was so kind to us; she started throwing in free waters with each order, and when we went back for a second visit this past vacation, she remembered us from the two days before. She was a real cutie, and we were happy to give her delicious boat our money. How many grilled corns did I eat…? Oh, it’s not worth counting, but mmmm, they are so good!
Suffice it to say, I was very sad to leave Krabi yesterday. Going to Thailand fills with me with such happiness. What’s especially nice about living in Asia is I know I will be back to Phra Nang Beach in my near future. Whether it’s this year or the next, I know I will get to visit my favorite beach in the world soon.
