Monica

It was such fun to reconnect with Monica Tindall on Saturday for three main reasons: first, it was just really neat to see Monica and Canning after many years. We originally know Monica and Canning from days back in Venezuela. I really, really love how with each year into my pathway called life the world just keeps getting smaller and smaller. I love that Monica knows I am here in HK, and since she was coming from KL, we had a few quick notes in Facebook, and presto! We were able to spend a very fun filled Saturday together. The second reason Saturday was so great was Monica let me help to style her. I personally took her shopping–something she dreads–and helped her find some very fresh and modern pieces to help out her busy evenings of reviewing culinary wonders. Which leads me to my third reason why Saturday was so amazing. Monica is the founder and world editor of The Yum List. The Yum List is a spot on the web filled with only the best places to eat, sleep, and relax. Next time you are planning a trip–especially in Asia–make sure to go to The Yum List to figure out where to go for dinner or buy the best produce or stay in the coziest boutique hotel. Monica has written about only the best. And on Saturday, I was able to join her in a tasting of the Grand Hyatt’s afternoon tea set–more on that delectable treat later!

Shopping Here’s Monica’s loot: we found one skirt with two varying shirt options plus two (little black) jumpsuits. We paired everything with 2 different interchangeable necklaces. With a sampling of how to wear the outfits with different colored shoes and styles, Monica made good on a one hour shopping spree with me. She’s set for more of her busy nights reviewing the wonderful food of Kuala Lumpur!
Monica3This skirt can be paired with both the black sequin racer tank as seen up above or with this soft pale blush sequin tank. Either option totally works.

A (little black) jumpsuit is such a comfortable yet chic option. Don’t pass one up: try it on. Monica was surprised how comfortable and modern both these suits made her feel. Plus, the flexibility of movement she feels in them help out the activity of being able to get the best food shots for her blog. (She wore the pant suit on the right to afternoon tea and looked fabulously chic!)

Would you like me to help you shop? I’d love to! And I’ll take out the dread I promise! Just let me know…
