Recently, I was admiring @shoppolkadotboutique’s Instagram feed when I became completely enamoured by this denim off the shoulder jumpsuit. It got met thinkin’…. Maybe I could make my own makeshift jumpsuit. I have the chambray off the shoulder top, and I have a denim pair of culottes; going monochromatic is a sure bet way to create an illusion of a jumpsuit. Granted mine isn’t as lovely as the one at Shop Polkadot Boutique, but it felt good to shop my own wardrobe and create a somewhat similar look. This could be done with a black top and wide legged black pants or even a white blouse and skinny jeans. Jumpsuits work because they provide a unified silhouette. Give it a try!
Slip-on Sparkle or Heels?
Because of my hip issues this year, I’ve had to really change my footwear. And oh, do I miss wearing heels! These Kate Spade sparkly numbers are by far my favorite pair. On my birthday in February, when I saw these slip-on, Kate Spade, Keds’ version of my beloved heels, I had to get them! Sparkle in any form–even of the casual variety, is going to make me smile! But just for fun, I paired them here with the makeshift jumpsuit. Which way do you like the outfit? With the casual slip-ons or the fancy heels?

I know the off the shoulder is so hot right now, but I’ve still never found a strapless bra that i feel comfortable in. I’m hopping on the cold shoulder shirt bandwagon instead!
I do love the sparkles with this “jumpsuit”—I almost think I like the flats better!!

Jodie, wanna know what I do? I just wear my regular (very supportive) bra and wear the straps just below the edge of the top. Go try one on with your regular bra and see what you think. My strapless bra is a joke for my Girls! But yes to the cold shoulder. I’m on the hunt for that now as well. And I need to SLOW DOWN with the off the shoulder–but I can’t seem to stop. And for someone with rolling, sliding shoulders, this style seems to work for me.

Ummm, I don’t think so, but that cold be because the straps were loose to begin with and it’s time to tighten ’em up!! Haha!

Isn’t Boohoo really a treasure? I love them to death!! Have you also tried Choies and/or FashionMia? Back to your makeshift jumpsuit. The play of blues is delightful. And the sparkly footwear. This is a great idea Ann. Your off the shoulder top showcases that lovely bronze tan beautifully my lovely! Both of the sparkly shoes are fab, but I think I’d go with the flats this time. Next time, I’d wear the heels. Oh, you’ll have such fun with this look xxx

To tell you the truth, even though I hate flat shoes, I equally like the sneakers and the heels with this “jumpsuit”. I hate culottes as well. And you have created an outfit which I really like. Just goes to show never say never. As your mum says: always try it on, you never know.
This outfit clearly shows your good figure. Or if you are going to fight me on that, i shows your good points. Lovely bum, legs and shoulders.
