So, we were packing up to go to Jaipur tomorrow morning–early, like 4:30 am. Our flight leaves at 5:50. As we were packing, Gigi, came up to me first: Here, Mommy, you’ll need this. Then Vincent followed, And you’ll need this one too. And then Kevin, Here have this one also. They each had picked out beautiful rings for me–each one special and unique in its own way. I’ll have ring options for the 3-day weekend.
After I received the rings, they told me to sit down to receive more: two absolutely beautiful books that actually brought me to tears!
The palace and havelli we’re going to stay at in Jaipur are actually featured in this book!
Kevin also gave me this fabulous picture book called, Mumbai Footpaths. It’s a wonderful little page turner filled with daily life shots of Mumbai.
The last present was from Vincent. It’s like a geneology story for outcasts. I hadn’t heard about them until Marc Levitt recently visited. I think it’s called a khawad (with a v). The one Vincent chose for me is quite elaborate. He took a picture of it all unfolded. Now we have to find someone to tell us the story!
Happy Birthday, Annie! What special gifts from such a thoughtful family. You deserve it all. Have a relaxing and memorable weekend in Jaipur. XOXO
@MK It was amazing. Stay tuned for the post!
think I love the one from vincent the best. did you see slum dog millionair yet??? a must see
Slumdog Millionaire was awesome. I loved it. Get the soundtrack too–it’s also very good.
I like the one from Gigi best; I’m going to dip it in gold;D
Kevin’s setting is nice, but the stone is uh…well not really anything. I think I’ll dip it in gold and replace the stone with turquoise or coral.
