Last Monday, I shared the launch of Eivor—a collaboration between Anaita of Shop Lustre and Sabrina. I’d had my eye on the crystal bar for quite some time: that was definitely the piece I was going to get. Then, because it was just so cool, I got the five piece ear set as well. Each earring is actually different, so nothing is perfectly symmetrical nor matches when you wear these earrings. It’s awesome! Plus I have a double piercing on each ear, so my combinations are endless. This Eivor collection by my two friends is really quite special. I hope you’ve had a chance to take a look. I’m sorry to say the two pieces I purchased are sold out, but there are many more remarkable pieces to choose from.
A couple of weekends ago, Gigi and I went to visit my dear friend (Gigi’s past 5th grade teacher) and her little baby. He’s so incredibly adorable. I tell you what: if I could have more babies, I’d be in trouble. Boy oh boy. Do I love them! I may have mentioned this before, but on my bucket list is working with babies one day. If and when Kevin and I retire, I’d like to spend some of my time in a hospital or orphanage simply holding babies. Even better would be playing with the 6-12 month olds. That is my most favorite age–the giggles and interactions of an older babe are priceless to me.
Not many people imagine beaches when they think of Hong Kong. Usually, a very cosmopolitan, bustling city filled with sky scrapers and neon signs comes to mind. While this side of HK is completely true, there is so much more. Hong Kong is filled with so much natural beauty: lush, tropical mountains filled with well-kept hiking trails, sandy beaches guarded and equipped with clean facilities (including showers), and dotted islands out in the sea scattered around like very large pebbles. Yes, this description is accurate, and I truly love living in Hong Kong.
Ironically, this time of year–fall elsewhere, is the very best time to hit the beach. October is usually Hong Kong’s beach month, and the visit out to this beach was proof all over again as to why we love living here.
