I am a clothes horse; it’s true. I have way, way, WAY too many clothes. I try very hard to take out whenever I add. Sometimes special clothes (like these paisley items for example) remain in my possession despite not fitting. That’s ok. One day….
Most of my clothes are not expensive–I might spend $40 USD on something but that’s quite rare. Instead the average price of my items is $10–this skirt to $20–this sweatshirt. I did spend about $30 on the Adidas fanny pack that I picked up in Santa Barbara this past summer. When I’m traveling I usually make exceptions, and if I see something I like, I buy it on the spot rather than hemming and hawing. Although, it did take me five days to finally buy these $100 dollar turquoise earrings. I NEVER spend that much! But then…. sometimes I do splurge.
Recently, I splurged. Big time. I’ve been trying to find these Nike Atmos sneakers forever. I first spotted them on Laura Ascot from the duo Ascot and Hart. Talk about boho chic! My goodness this lady has IT! Well, I saw these sneaker on her, and I’ve been thinking about these #anniemal gems ever since. I mean, they basically have my name all over them!
They’re a limited edition, so they were quite hard to find. Then, as any great researcher/shopper will do, I dedicated myself to the hunt. And when I finally found them, I did not even think twice: I splurged! Big time!!
I don’t feel guilty. And I will not feel guilty. Here’s why: I’m very limited by my shoe purchases. I wear sneakers pretty much 99% of the time, so I want them to be cute. I want them to be rockin’. I want them to be RAD. And these ones are all of that.
So there!
