*Update: I have since purchased a new plaid shirt. A new plaid shirt post should go live on Wednesday, December 9th!
It is now December; therefore my plaid shirt will be in heavy rotation. The problem is it’s a bit done: the color has faded, it never seems to smell fully clean (I apologize if that’s TMI), and it’s just really starting to show it’s wear. This was the shirt I had to have because I saw how ultimately cool my sister wore hers and wanted to copy her to a tee. I’ve for sure gotten my use out of this shirt, but it’s during this month of December that I really get mad for plaid–hehee. Look to see three ways I wear this shirt:
For example, I wear a plaid shirt with Tulle!
I love my tulle skirt, but recently it hasn’t been pulled out qw often. It could have something to do with all my tennis shoe wearing days. So….abiding by my rule of matching one other casual piece with the Chuck Taylor sneakers, I grabbed for my plaid shirt. Now, the very important thing that I did here was tie the shirt at my waist. This skirt can give me a much bigger waist than I’d ever like; therefore it’s absolutely necessary to provide a waist with this skirt which can easily be done simply tying it. Voila!
Or I pair my plaid shirt with a Red Dress
December is a time to embrace the red dress–think about that little red-dress-wearing dancing lady emoji! Well, I’m gonna be her this month! But, because this wrap dress shows more cleavage than I care for when worn casually, I remedied that by wearing my plaid shirt underneath. I cuffed the sleeves to the 3/4 length to match the dress’ sleeves, and I was set. Again, the plaid shirt dresses down the red dress allowing for another pair of Converse.
And my Plaid Shirt always goes with jeans
The third way I’ve worn my plaid shirt lately is very simple: layers. These jeans are nice and high-waisted, yet, I’m not ready to wear them with something tucked in. (Read, yes, I’d love to be able to get back to exercising!!) This plaid shirt is able to offer a fitted look while still masking the waist. Again, sneakers are always very suitable with jeans and a puffer vest.
Basically, I need a new Plaid Shirt!
Since I know I definitely get my cost per wear out of any plaid shirt I purchase, I am not going to be afraid to spend a little money on my next one (or three!). And since I know there are many more plaid wearing days ahead of me, here’s a round up of some of my favorites that I have found so far:

Me too!!
I need a new one.
I have a blue and green (well past-it) one and a gents orange and cobalt.
I don’t mind if I do when it comes to a bit of tartan shirt shopping….LOVE it under that wrap dress.
That was unexpected.
I feel like I don’t have enough curves to carry off a wrap but maybe a shirt could give me more va-va-voom?

Ahhh, I can be jelly (that’s my term for jealous) for just a moment. I know many want curves, but sometimes I’d love to be a little flatter in that area. I’m used to it by now, but it’s funny how much I admire a flat chest. I’m investigated with the doc about what I could do with the boobs, but ouch! I’m not there yet. Seems like it would be so painful. Anyway, try it! See what it does. (There’s also stuffing one’s bra!!;) (Just kidding there;) Love, Annie
Ann, I really love the shirt and tulle skirt pairing – that’s inspired! You can never have to many tartan shirts in my book. Am sporting a tartan jacket over on my blog today. Will message you too about ping pong clothes idea.

That wrap dress with the shirt is great! Casually stylish. And yes, please buy a new one. I can smell it from here (ha, ha)!
I’ve got at least 4 or 5 tartan, check, plaid – crikey so many names for one garment! So versatile.

Hhahaha! Making laugh out loud Petite Vix! And I did buy a new plaid shirt last week. New styling of it X 3 up later this week!! Love, Annie
Woman, that plaid shirt with tutu skirt is GOLD. I think I’m going to try and do one myself!!! Muack!!!
Thank you Sheela! I did feel a bit frumpy all day in this skirt. I’m wondering how to fix the waist–aside from tying a shirt around to cinch in the waist. Thanks for the vote! I need it to make sure I keep a tulle skirt in my closet!! Love, Annie
