Revitalized Floral Skirt

The last time I wore this dress as a dress was in India, and that was a long time ago. For some reason–probably my lack of shoulders–I don’t really like the cold shoulder look on me. This was a really pretty dress, but I wasn’t wearing it. In this styling I wore the dress as a floral skirt and that was in X. It was either time to get rid of this dress OR do something new with it.

Most of my skirts are short; I own a couple of midi lengths, but knowing my history with midi dresses, it’s no surprise I don’t own many. Because the ruffle is so sweet, I decided to try to turn the dress into a skirt. It worked!

The colors are very pretty as are the florals. It’s flowy and hits me at a reasonable length right above my ankles. I’m pleased with the way this skirt turned out, and now I have an additional midi length, floral skirt to choose from in my closet.

I shop a lot–ok, ok, probably too much. But, every time I add to my wardrobe, I also take out. However recently before I take out, or even before I go shopping, I’ve been more contemplative. I’ve been shopping my own closet to see how I can revitalize my clothing. In other words, I’m attempting to upcycle my wardrobe before I add any more to it!

How do you like this floral skirt?

Or did you prefer it as a dress?

Ooops! Too late!!
