I’ve had these flatform Tevas in both black and white for several years now. Last fall before putting them away till the spring, I had a clever idea: why not DIY embellished Tevas to infuse a bit of life into each pair. For the black pair, I had a strand of silver studs on leather that I had taken off of a flat. The white pair would look great with some a puca shell necklace added. With these ideas and supplies, I brought my goods to my cobbler.
I could have done this DIY embellished Tevas all on my own, but I knew my cobbler would have both the proper needles to get through the thick Teva bands as well as the necessary glue. It’s a pretty self-explanatory DIY: find the embellishment and either glue or sew it on. However, sometimes, I think it’s fair to seek a little local help with a DIY project. I mean look at the pride on this man’s face for the business I brought him.
Next up on my DIY embellished Tevas list, is to create a pair of bandana Tevas.
