Christmas is Coming Early This Year

Usually we wait until the Friday after Thanksgiving to put up our tree. However, this year, we just needed a little holiday cheer, so Sunday night we put our tree up a whole two weeks early. It makes sense: the kids are home more often than not lately due to suspended classes. Why wouldn’t we put the tree up early to help elevate the mood in our home? Plus, if we wait till the day after Thanksgiving, we’d only be in the house with our tree up for two weeks. As is, now we’ll get a full month of our cute little Krembs’ Christmas tree!

Do you remember when I made this paisley co-ord? Well, at the same time, I also made this Christmas plaid version. The tee was only $79 HKD–that’s $10 bucks–so I bought two. Then, I took one of the tees to the fashion design students here at my school and asked them to take the bodice of the tee and make a skirt out of that fabric. Presto–tt was done!

I don’t plan on wearing another Christmas outfit until December 1st, but on this Sunday when we put the tree up, it seemed that I should dress appropriately. When I pulled down the Christmas outfit box, this seemed to be the easiest Christmas tree decorating ootd. And because this box is so good, I plan on posting the 12 Days of Christmas here on Kremb de la Kremb! Stay tuned!

And yes, I also pulled out the little bag of Christmas jewelry too–including my little Santa earrings!

Do you also have a box of Christmas clothes waiting to be worn this holiday season? I can’t wait for all the plaid, the red lips, and the magic sparkle of the Christmas season. Until then, I’ll enjoy our Christmas tree all through November!
