Amazing 10
Vincent celebrated his 10th birthday with an Amazing Race. Here are the things he and his friends had to do in any order: Throw 10 pieces of popcorn into another person’s mouth. Make 10 baskets together in a row. Jump 100 times on the trampoline. Rock their hair out. Pass an orange without using hands.Continue reading Amazing 10
The Girl Who Played Go, by Shan Sa
This blog is usually reserved for Kremb de la Kremb family updates, but I do have to share what I just read–I am a librarian after all, so it’s only fitting, right? I finished The Girl Who Played Go this morning by Shan Sa. Oh! It was just beautiful and magestic and tragic all atContinue reading The Girl Who Played Go, by Shan Sa
Lakeside Great Wall, Round 2
We all went for a hike today at the Lakeside Great Wall. It was so nice and fresh out there. We’ve been having fun going on hikes as often as we can. Here are some pics from the hike.

Silver Pagoda Mountain
We are back to touring. It’s always fun to take an adventure on a Sunday. Today we finally found Silver Pagoda Mountain. It may just become our favorite hike yet with the little creek leading the way up and a bell tower reward at the top. We made it!!

Nie Nie at the Great Wall, Round 2
We took Nie Nie to the Wall right away this visit, and since we’ve found the Reflections house, we stayed overnight. On Sunday we walked up there–not realizing how tough it would be. Joanie is a true trooper! Your browser does not support the video tag
Fragrant Hills Park
We went urban trekking through Fragrant Hills Park this Saturday. The day was gloriously blue, the air was fresh, and the flowers in bloom. It was fun to hike and picnic around this pretty park.
Gigi is BLOGGING
I believe it happened because of couple of reasons. First, it might have passed down through me–she sees me blogging on the Dear Librarian and here. But, that wouldn’t be enough I don’t think. I think a major component to her new found desire came from her totally awesome 1st grade teacher, Ms. Fiona. FionaContinue reading Gigi is BLOGGING
