Bali is still beautiful! Today’s roundup of pictures highlights the people and places of Bali. We had quite a drive to get to our idyllic villa on the northwestern part of the island, but once we arrived it was worth it. We passed by a triplet of lakes, through continuous busy village life, and up and over many mountains. Hinduism is the religion of Bali with a touch of Buddhas included in the reverence. Mini shops are on little trucks stuffed with all sorts of household goods. The dancers during dinner are so expressive–even there moving eyes add to the stories told through their bodies. We snorkled, read, then swam in the pool, then repeat… At night our beds even had the mosquito nets that seem to add just a touch of romance; in the morning tons of rooster accompanied with the sound of Balinese music woke us up. This four day trip to Bali was so wonderful–we’ve decided to go back for Christmas to explore more of the island and its beauty!
