A Year Ago I Cut My Hair

HairCollage

This series of profile pics was taken last year right when I went short.

It’s inconsequential really. My long hair is long gone. I’m happy I cut it; I’d been wanting to for years, and it was about time I actually did something about all that talk. No major decisions need to be made, yet I do miss having long locks. I find either style easy–with short though it’s always the same. There’s never much deviation other than needing to get it cut because it might be getting too shaggy. I have a few more styles to try out before I even begin for a grow out–like this one, I want it! After I can get this shaggy look though, I think I’ll probably start growing it back out….

On the one hand I like being unique–not many women wear their hair cropped. On the other, I like how my hair is still full in body and in its color. I like the curls I get too. I’m curious what my readers think? It’d be anymous for your to reply, so what do you think?

Long?

  1. Ann, I found myself voting for “Grow it long”…despite having just had the clippers taken to mine today (only at the sides and back) I should really be on team crop and chop!! However, I think your natural volume/body and curls make your longer hair look glossy and fresh and not a bit sad, limp, over-processed and frizzy. You can always chop it off again later when you fancy another change. I like the shaggy cut, with the fringe, in your link…I am looking forward to seeing that too! Samantha XXX

    1. I think I’m heading back towards long Samantha. I feel more sultry with it–and it’s nice to feel that way. I know it’s cute short, but I’ll let my face be cute and hopefully my hair can add some sexy. Not sure if this makes sense or not….anyway, I’ll still have some fun growing it out. Thanks for giving me your thoughts. I appreciate it! Love, Annie

  2. Ann, I like it long but voted for short.I think you have great bone structure which when looking at the long hair pictures is not bringing those features out.

    1. Interesting! I feel like I have chubby bone structure! Haha! And then I like hiding behind it a bit when it’s long. I’ll take this comment into consideration though! The vote is super close! Only one point difference toward long!! Thanks for offering your thoughts. I soooo appreciate it! Ann

  3. I cannot vote as my vote would have more to do with me than with you. I have little and thin hair. Straight hair which want to go towards the earth as quick as possible. So, inevidably I want thick, long curly hair.
And you have the most perfect hair when it is long. But if I vote for that, am I voting for what I (as in ME) cannot have? Or what is best for you? As I like the short, messy hairstyle on you (bottom right).

    1. Sheela, I can say yes to the Lovato crop, but I am definitely not brave enough for a side shave. No way José! Could you do it? I just know I could not. The grow out would be so painful. I did come real close to a mohawk when I lived in Bombay. Now, I really wish I would have just gone for it–at least once in my life. I feel the same way about a nose ring. But see, there are stick ’ems and hairspray to give both of these desired effects! ;P A x
