We felt really, really fortunate this year. While every Thanksgiving overseas has been special–we usually have been able to travel or spend wonderful dinners with the friends that become family while we’re away–this year was a bit different. We were able to spend Thanksgiving with actual blood family: Corky and Sally are here visiting from Hong Kong. And, not only was it Thanksgiving, but it was Corky’s birthday too! Of course, since we had to work yesterday, we weren’t able to make our own meal, but thanks to our local restaurant, Michael’s, we had our turkey dinner delivered to us!
Hey Guys – we had such a wonderful time in Beijing – we are already looking forward to coming back to visit again soon!
Hello Corky ~ Remember me from the EI daze? 1993? You headed off to HKG and I bet you that you would marry an Asian woman and you said “no way.” Hmmm…
Whatcha been up to?
This is my 21st year in Seattle. I still work as a freight forwarder. You have lost a lot of weight! You look great! Are you in the USA? WA? Cheers! Fritz
